How far in advance should I schedule my move?
The earlier the better! 2-4 weeks is what we usually prefer, but if you plan on moving during our peak times which is summer, end of the month or a weekend, please call us 4-6 weeks before your planned date.
Do I need an estimate?
We usually can give you a pretty accurate quote over the phone based on the information and inventory you provide. We do suggest an on-site estimate if you have a larger home (4+ bedrooms), commercial move (office space) or any unusual items (pool table, piano, hot tubs ect.) Estimates are non-biding and free of charge.
How is the cost of my move calculated?
We have a standard hourly rate system based on number of movers requested (2 or 3) as well as day of the week requested (weekdays vs weekends) Plus a one-time destination/arrival fee that covers travel time to your residence, tolls, gas and travel time back to our warehouse. The hourly rate starts when the movers arrive at your place and it stops when the move is completed.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit cards, cash or cashier’s check/money order. No personal checks unless previously agreed on.
Can my belongings be temporarily stored at your location?
Yes, we do offer storage services, please give us a call for more info.
What if I discover damaged or missing items?
Our team has been trained to work with utmost care and integrity, and we sure hope that will not be the case. However, if you do discover anything missing or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We strongly suggest you inspect all your items and furniture the day of the move. We will accept claims in writing within 7 (seven) calendar days of your move day.
Do you offer insurance to protect my belongings?
Yes, we offer two types of insurance coverage:
Basic coverage – every move is covered by federally required Released Value Protection. There is no additional cost to you, in case of any damage, movers assume liability of no more than $.60 (sixty) cents per pound per article.
Additional coverage – must be purchased separately. Please contact us for details.
Are you able to connect/disconnect my appliances and/or electronic devices?
Due to liability reasons, we can not and will not connect/disconnect any appliances or electronic devices, including any and all plumbing connections on your property.
